To truly overcome this condition of premature ejaculation we must first understand how it manifests itself and what it does to the body.
The ultimate true cause of all PE is in the mind, it is "performance anxiety" e.g. when a man has worries about:
- how long he has left until ejaculation.
- how quickly his arousal levels are rising.
- how good a lover he is in bed.
These are just three typical example cases. This is also the same reason why many new actors in the adult entertainment industry cannot "gain wood" when they make their first scene. So you can see that the connection between the mind and the body during the sexual act is a great one.
Luckily, there are two ways to overcome this problem.
Short Term Methods
The first is to use what I call short term methods. These are various techniques that allow you to do something about your problem tonight. An example is a delay spray.
Some people dismiss these methods as inferior but I strongly believe that these methods are useful for the complete beginner and can help him to get back some of his lost confidence.
Long Term Cures
Those methods already mentioned are useful for the complete beginner who wants to get rid of his premature ejaculation. But eventually you should graduate to what I call "long term cures".
These basically involve a period of training or acclimatization over a period of several weeks. When this training is completed, your performance anxiety disappears. Because your mind has been "fixed" in this way then your body follows and you develop what is called "total ejaculatory control" - an ability to ejaculate when you choose to do so.
